Domestic airlines in India to operate with 60% capacity and as the government has ease restrictions on travel with the start of inter-state and intra-state travel, domestic airlines in India will now operate with 60 per cent capacity. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has now allowed Indian airlines to increase the operations of their domestic flights. They have also been allowed to increase the capacity to 60 per cent, whereas the conditions related to domestic flight operations will remain the same.
Domestic airlines in India to operate with 60% capacity now as per new norms. Earlier, the limit was limited to 45 per cent but seeing demand from the passengers, the ministry has taken a decision to increase. The further was taken after reviewing the current status of flights operation in the country. Also, the standard operation procedure was revised and domestic and international airlines have been allowed to serve on board meals to the passengers. As per the policy, pre-packed meals, snacks and beverages can now be served on flight. Also as per standard practices, international airlines are now allowed to serve hot meals with limited beverages options. Under the new guidelines, it is mandatory for the passengers to wear face mask while boarding the flight, passengers without mask would be put on no-fly list.
