Six cities to resume flights to Kolkata from September 1 

Six cities to resume flights to Kolkata from September 1. The West Bengal governments has decided to relax the restrictions imposed on domestic flights operations which was enforce due to the outspread of corona virus. Earlier, seeing the unprecedented rise in the number of corona virus cases in the state, flights operations to Kolkata from six places – Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chennai and Ahmadabad were banned.

From September 1, the government of West Bengal has allowed the flights to operate from these six states but with a rider. Also, flights operating from COVID-19 hotspots will be permitted thrice a week. The state is not in favour of complete resumption of flights seeing the growing numbers of cases.

Six cities to resume flights to Kolkata from September 1 butApart from resuming flight operations, metro service in the state will soon be operational in and around Kolkata maintaining social distancing between passengers. It is accepted that the metro service in the city will commence from September 1 during the fourth phase of unlocking. The local trains might also start its services in a phased manner. Well, the eastern state extended partial lockdown till September 20 and a complete lockdown will be observed on September 7, 11 and 12.
