Remembering the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and The feeling of seeing the tri-colour flag waving under the clear open sky is a joyous moment. During this time, the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore composed India’s national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana Adhinayak’ and it was later sung on December 28, at the Calcutta session of Congress. It was originally written in Bengali and it first appeared before the public under the title Bharata-vidhata in Tottvobodhini Patrika.

 There are many controversies that surround the national anthem but it was adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the Indian national anthem on January 24, 1950. The great Rabindranath Tagore had early success as a writer in his native Bengal and became the voice of India’s spiritual heritage; and for India, especially for Bengal. Tagore one of the greatest poet and freedom fighters of India also known as ‘Gurudev’ is known for his masterpiece Gitanjali, Ghare-Baire, and many such masterworks. He is also the writer of ‘Amar Shonar Bangla’, which is the national anthem sung in Bangladesh.

 He had never restricted himself to literature and poems; in fact, he also started an experimental school at Santiniketan where he tried his Upanishadic ideals of education. The curriculum of the institution is a unique blend of art, human values, and cultural interchange.
