ASI monuments all set to welcome tourists and open its grandeur to the public from July 6, 2020. Earlier, in June 820 monuments out of the over 3,000 monuments maintained by ASI where religious events take place were reopened by the Culture Ministry. Whereas, 3,691 centrally protected monuments and archaeological sites were shut from March 17 due to corona virus outbreak.
With the reopening of the ASI monuments where all ASI monuments all set to welcome tourist, all measures issued by the Union Health Ministry will be dully followed by the monument authorities. Also, wearing of masks has been mandatory for the visitors visiting the monuments. The monuments which are being reopened will follow strict protocols issued by the health ministry. This will however will be followed with the compliance of the state and district administration.
