ITDC supports Mission Vande Bharat, offers quarantine facility

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector undertaking, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism has extended a hand of support to Mission Vande Bharat. The repatriation operation by the Indian government, Mission Vande Bharat operation has been initiated in order to bring back Indians from other parts of the world because of the corona virus crisis.

After landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the evacuees have to undergo quarantine as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In respect to ease up the mass quarantine issue for the evacuees, ITDC has offered 50 rooms at a special for those who have to go through self-quarantine. Hotel Samrat, Chnakyapuri which is operational under ITDC have been prepared for the evacuees, the hotel is taking care of all the necessary measures as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The hotel has been sanitized and is all set to welcome the evacuees.

“Standing in support with the nation in this time of unprecedented crisis, we intend to offer support and care to the community. We have reached out to the govt. with a proposal to offer quarantine facility at one of ITDC’s run hotels at Chanakyapuri,” said Piyush Tiwari, Director (Commercial & Marketing), ITDC.
