India ranks at 13th spot in terms of Price Competitiveness, with a score of 6.1, according to the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) by World Economic Forum. The better price competitiveness is due to the improved ticket taxes and airport charges, where India ranks at 8th position, while in hotel price index it ranks 15 across the world.
India also has jumped up six places to rank 34th on world travel and tourism competitiveness index by World Economic Forum. The total number of international tourist arrivals in 2019 are 15,542,900 with US$ 27,365.1 million international tourism inbound receipts. The average receipt per arrival is US$ 1,760.6. In 2015, India ranked 52nd and 40th in 2017.
