HP signs MoU with Ski Himalayas Ropeway for investment of INR 500cr

As per a TOI report, the Himachal Pradesh (HP) government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ski Himalayas Ropeway, which will invest INR 500 crore on ropeways, ski resorts, heli ski, heli taxi and heli safari projects in the state. The MoU was signed at the Himachal Pradesh Global Investors’ Meet in New Delhi yesterday.

Ski Himalayas Ropeway formed by the entrepreneurs from Himachal Pradesh and is a joint venture of Swiss company Air Zermatt. The company is planning to develop ski resorts in places that experience heavy snowfall like Chanshal, Kullu-Manali and Lahahul-Spiti. It will also develop a ski centre in Chanshal. According to the MoU, the company will also provide assistance to the state during disasters. (Source: TOI)
