Destination: Indian Ocean Paradise Tour
Colombo, Kandy, male

Duration :7 DAYS

Combine the experience of being in Colombo, with the beauty and wonder of Kandy and add in the thrill of a few days in the Maldives, and what you get is the Indian Ocean Paradise Tour. One week of pure, unadulterated pleasure.

Day 1:

Arrive in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s political and economic capital and check in at your preferred hotel. A day tour through the city takes you past its ancient colonial buildings, age-old temples and churches, bustling bazaars and contemporary landmarks.

Day 2:

After breakfast, leave Colombo and the coast behind as you venture into the heart of the island. Driving past paddy fields, palm groves and coconut plantations as you head for the Hill Capital of Sri Lanka, you will stop to visit the renowned Pinnewala elephant orphanage. Then, you will ascend gradually into a country where everything is green and lush, and much of the region is carpeted with tea plantations. Stop wherever you wish to drink in the panoramic views of the central highland, and take things at your own pace until you arrive at Kandy. Situated at 500 m above sea level, Kandy is a lovely lake town in the hills, with many a site worth visiting and discovering. And that’s precisely what you will do for the rest of the day.

Day 3 - 6:

After breakfast, drive back to Colombo and board the flight to Male, one of the pearls of the Indian ocean and an idyllic place to relax. Your first aerial view of the country will itself be magical. A dreamlike picture of a thousand gems scattered on a bed of blue velvet, and shallow turquoise lagoons wrapping themselves around glistening beaches. On arrival in Male you will transfer by boat or sea to your chosen island resort in the Maldives.

On one hand, Maldives consists of about 1200 islands, innumerable sandbanks and countless reefs that straddle the equator. And on the other, its historical role at the crossroads of east-west maritime trade, has made it a melting pot for different races and cultures. A nation with a unique culture and tradition, and a language they can call their own.

While in Male, you could choose to take a cruise around its many islands, dive at some of the world’s greatest sites, and discover its underwater beauty, or languorously snorkel around its exceptional reefs.

Day 7:

Transfer back to the airport to fly on to India, Sri Lanka or back home.
